Over the past 13 years, I’ve been fortunate to work with a number of great companies on exciting and impactful products. I’ve highlighted a few of them below.

49ers Stadium App

In 2012, Frog Design was brought in to the 49ers to design their stadium app for the new Levi’s Stadium. The app would leverage the technology infrastructure built into the stadium to create a game day experience that was first of its kind.

Our goal was to strip away the pain points often experienced during a live game. From game day research, we identified common issues shared with fans - challenging to see what’s happening on the field, lack of up-to-the-minute reporting, long lines for food and bathrooms, and fear of missing a big play when you have to leave your seat.

We wanted to address these in a way that didn’t take fans away from the feeling of being at the game, so we designed the 49er’s stadium app for quick, task-oriented actions, so fans could focus on the game, not their phones. I led visual design for the app.

Airbnb Host Tools

In the fall of 2014, I helped Airbnb’s Host team introduce new features to assist hosts in managing their properties. At the time hosts lacked resources to help them appropriately price their listings, yet internally, there was a wealth of pricing data that we could leverage. We looked at a hosts location, similar listings in their area, and seasonality and weekly demand changes to help guide hosts in pricing their listings.

Along with the new pricing demand chart, I helped to introduce a destination for Hosts to track important information that was otherwise getting lost. The Host Dashboard gave hosts details on what they were earning, alerted them of pending guest inquiries, showcased their upcoming reservations, and showed how they were tracking towards their Superhost status.

Disney Parks

Frog embarked on a multi-year project to create the future of Disney Parks. The focus of the project was the MagicBand, a bluetooth-enabled wristband that allowed guests to get a uniquely tailored experience.

Between 2011 - 2012, I worked on two projects that leveraged the technology, both for Disney Parks dining experiences. The first was the kiosk design at Disney’s fast casual restaurants, where guests have the option of either tapping their MagicBand to pull up their existing order, or quickly create a new one.

The detailed design was tailored to Disney's western-themed, Pecos Bill Cafe, but has an underlying system that allowed Disney to wrap the design in a different skin for each of their themed restaurants. This resulted in a unified experience for guests.

The second project was designing a mobile point-of-sale device for Disney employees. The device allowed employees to scan a guest’s MagicBand to fulfill existing orders, or to take new ones. The mobile POS was an important tool in alleviating the long lines that are unfortunately just as familiar to guests as Disney’s iconic rides.
